Need HELP! From my IVF followers.....

Hi ladies...I've been stiming for three days now with Gonal and Menopure on the microdose Lupron protocol. I had my fist follicle count and lining at home today before I leave for Denver tomorrow. They can only see 6-7 dominant follicles in total. My ER is a week from tomorrow....can I hope for more follicles to catch up? Or is this it? Freaking a bit.

    Try and stay clam Iveta. Three days is super early into stimming. My first cycle the number kept growing and growing until ER - I had way more by the end than they could count in the very beginning. Hang in there - positive thoughts! When's your next u/s?

    Three days of stims is still very, very early - so I wouldn't panic at all.

    As I recall, I think that at this point they saw far fewer folicles than the number of follicles on the day of my donor's ER (it was 42 on that day). I definitely believe more have time to catch up between now and your ER.

    What was your AFC count on your baseline ultrasound? 3 days of stimming is very early and you most definitely can have more grow. If you are really concerned, you should speak with your nurse. Also, CCRM only trusts THEIR ultrasound people so it may be that when you get to Denver, your results are different.

    Hey Iveta...although I have never done an ER I have heard of story after story of them collecting more than the initial AFC at time of ER. Your best bet is to continue the stims and see what happens. If Dr. M. feels the cycle may be in jeopardy then she may cancel you and try a different protocol to try and coax more follies to come out and play. So similar advice to you as you gave to me...breathe...take a deep breathe and take it one day at a time. Thinking of you...

    I've never had more follicles show up later - I typically have 6-10 antral follicles and nearly all of them grow, just not always evenly. But since I now know (after four IVF stim cycles) that's what I produce, it doesn't disappoint me. The first cycle it was definitely disappointing, but we got two embryos and got a BFP!

    Thanks for your support girls! My AFC at my ODWU was 13. That's why I was confused. My next U/S is on Thursday morning at CCRM. Will keep you updated!

    Try to find out the sizes and estrogen number. I think if you have 6 or 7 dominant you should be great. I've heard with the Lupron protocol you can expect less, but good quality? Quality is what you are shooting for! I'm wishing you all the best!
